Base
The Base MDX is loaded with amenities. On the convenience front, you’ll get proximity keyless entry, wireless phone charging, a power liftgate, push-button ignition, automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and taillights, heated side mirrors with turn-signal indicators and reverse gear tilt-down, a multi-functional second-row bench seat with a removable middle seat, a 50/50-split third-row seat, four USB charging ports (one Type-A and three Type-C), two 12V power outlets, and a hidden storage compartment with a reversible lid.
It also has a panoramic moonroof, leatherette upholstery, heated power-adjustable front seats with driver's position memory, tri-zone automatic climate control, active sound control, a leather-wrapped power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, ambient LED cabin lighting, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and CabinTalk, Acura’s in-car PA system.
The Google built-in multimedia system in the Base has a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, natural voice recognition, Amazon Alexa, HD Radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, and a sound system with 11 speakers. The AcuraWatch safety suite comes standard as well, providing forward collision warning with collision mitigation braking and pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams.
Technology
The Technology adds some really nice amenities: remote start, perforated leather upholstery with contrast stitching, position memory for the front passenger’s seat, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a hands-free liftgate, power-folding side mirrors, and a 27-color ambient interior lighting system. Its sound system is a B&O unit with 19 speakers. The safety suite grows with the addition of low-speed braking control and both front and rear parking sensors.
A-Spec
The A-Spec is a bit sportier in its looks and features. It has perforated leather upholstery with Ultrasuede inserts and contrast stitching, heated and ventilated front seats, a leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, LED fog lights, and stainless-steel footrests and pedals.
Advance
The Advance combines elements of the Technology trim with the LED fog lights found on the A-Spec. Beyond that, it gains curvilinear-quilted leather upholstery, roof rails, heated and ventilated massaging front seats with power side bolsters and thigh extension, heated outboard second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, a surround-view camera, a 10.5-inch head-up display, an expanded ambient interior lighting system, LED welcome lights (in the door handles), and two additional USB charging ports (one Type-A and one Type-C).
A-Spec Advance
The A-Spec Advance combines the sporty attributes of the A-Spec with the upscale features of the Advance.
Type S Advance
At the top of the range, the Type S Advance has a more powerful engine, an auto-leveling adaptive air suspension, Brembo brakes, a unique exterior design. It also features the curvilinear-quilted leather upholstery found in the Advance, along with the Ultrasuede inserts from the A-Spec. As the cherry on top, the Type S Advance gets a world-class 31-speaker B&O sound system, while its safety suite is bolstered by front cross-traffic warning, evasive steering warning, cornering speed assist, lane change collision mitigation, and active lane change assist.
