Base
The Base RDX gets features that belie its name, such as a power panoramic moonroof, wireless smartphone charging, simulated leather upholstery, heated 12-way power front sport-style seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, push-button ignition, and LED exterior lighting (including signature Jewel Eye headlamps with automatic on/off). It also has a 7-inch driver information display, heated power exterior mirrors with built in turn indicators and reverse tilt-down, sound-reducing windshield glass, capless fuel fill, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, ambient LED cabin lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, two USB ports, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The AcuraWatch suite ups the safety factor with adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and traffic sign recognition. A multi-view rearview monitor with helpful dynamic guidelines comes standard as well, along with a set of airbags, anti-lock brakes, and stability and traction control.
You’ll stay connected, informed, and entertained with the 10.2-inch infotainment system, which is managed by Acura's True Touchpad Interface. Its standard components include a sound system with nine speakers, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio, wireless smartphone integration (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), SiriusXM satellite radio, natural-language voice recognition, and access to Acura Connected Services and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Technology
The Technology Package makes upgrades to the Base trim’s equipment list with the likes of perforated leather upholstery, premium ambient LED cabin lighting, onboard navigation, and GPS-linked climate control. The multi-angle rearview monitor with guidelines gains a handy washer; the safety array also grows with the addition of low-speed automatic braking and parking sensors in both the front and the rear. This trim gets a superior sound system as well: an ELS STUDIO unit with 12 speakers.
A-Spec
The A-Spec takes appearance seriously, with exclusive touches inside and out, including the contents of the A-Spec Interior Sport Appearance Package and the Sport Appearance Exterior Package. Its seats (heated and ventilated in the front row) are upholstered in a handsome blend of premium Milano perforated leather and Ultrasuede with contrast stitching and piping, and it gains sport pedals, a leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, and the 3D version of the 16-speaker ELS STUDIO sound system. The A-Spec’s outward changes are LED fog lights and 20-inch wheels finished in Shark Gray. Certain exterior paint colors can be paired with a striking red interior.
Advance
The Advance Package builds on the features of the Technology edition by adding remote start (on the key fob), an adaptive damper system, heated power side mirrors with power-fold, LED fog lights, LED puddle lights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a windshield wiper de-icer, and 19-inch wheels finished in Berlina Black. Its interior goes up a few notches with perforated leather upholstery, heated rear seats (outboard), a heated steering wheel, 16-way power front seats (with power lumbar support, thigh extension, and side bolsters), a head-up display, and open-pore wood accents. The safety array for this trim adds a surround-view monitor.
A-Spec Advance
If you’re not sure whether to choose the A-Spec or the Advance, go for the A-Spec Advance, which blends the most attractive attributes of both: track-inspired looks and abundant comforts and conveniences. It has an adaptive damper system, sport pedals, heated rear outboard seats, an ebony headliner, LED fog and puddle lights, and 19-inch wheels (Berlina Black finish). It shares eligibility for the red interior with the A-Spec, and like the Advance, it comes with a surround-view monitor and the premium 16-speaker ELS STUDIO 3D sound system.
