The 2025 TLX is available in three well-appointed trims: Technology, A-Spec, and Type S. Both the Technology and A-Spec are equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 272 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft. of torque. The Type S provides a power boost with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 that whisks out 355 hp and 354 lb.-ft. of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard with the Technology, whereas the A-Spec and Type S get all-wheel drive for enhanced traction. All trims use a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The EPA-determined fuel economy ratings state that the Technology trim returns 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the freeway. The A-Spec is rated for 21 mpg city/29 mpg highway, while the high-powered Type S achieves 19 mpg city/25 mpg highway.
