2024 Acura TLX near Boston
2024 Acura TLX
The Acura TLX is an exceptional entry-level luxury sedan that blends performance with value. While it’s
easy to label it as simply a larger version of the compact Integra, the flagship TLX takes performance
up a notch by offering all-wheel drive and a robust 272-horsepower turbocharged engine. And those who
purely love driving as an activity will be lured by the Type S variant with its 355-hp V6.
For
2024, the dynamic TLX gets a redone front fascia dominated by a frameless mesh-patterned Diamond
Pentagon grill. Inside, it has two new 12.3-inch digital displays – one for instrumentation and the
other for infotainment. The TLX is also now compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto,
adding a new layer of convenience to the multimedia experience. Meanwhile, the AcuraWatch safety suite
has been improved with better collision prevention technology and expanded blind-spot monitoring
capabilities.
On the styling front, Acura has added two paint colors – Urban Gray Pearl and
Liquid Carbon Metallic – and three fresh wheel designs. The more aggressive Type S trim tops things off
with a new surround-view camera, a 10.5-inch head-up display, and improved throttle response when the
Sport+ drive mode is activated.

Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Economy
There are three trims to choose from with the ’24 TLX: Technology, A-Spec, and Type S. The Technology and
A-Spec come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 272 hp and 280 lb.-ft. of
torque, whereas the Type S features a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 generating 355 hp and 354 lb.-ft. of
torque. A 10-speed automatic is the sole transmission, and while the Technology comes with front-wheel
drive, the A-Spec and Type S are equipped with all-wheel drive.
Fuel efficiency estimates are
favorable for a car with elevated performance. The Technology returns an EPA-rated 22 mpg in the city
and 31 mpg on the highway. The A-Spec achieves 21 city/29 highway, while the Type S pulls off 19 city/25
highway.
Features By Trim Level
There are plenty of fine amenities to be enjoyed in the base-level Technology trim. On the comfort and
convenience front, you’ll get automatic LED headlights, a moonroof, heated side mirrors with turn
indicators and reverse gear tilt-down, proximity keyless entry, leather-upholstery with contrast
stitching, heated and power-adjustable front sport seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a
leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, ambient interior lighting, and push-button start.
The Technology earns its name with a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, wireless
phone charging, a crisp 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and two USB charge ports.
The A-Spec
flaunts a sportier aesthetic and introduces LED fog lights, Ultrasuede seat trim, ventilated front
seats, and a flat-bottom steering wheel. With the Type S, you’ll unlock a whole new world of performance
with an adaptive damper system, sport-tuned chassis bracing, special Individual and Sport+ drive modes,
and Brembo brakes. This high-output trim also hosts more features of convenience, like rain-sensing
wipers, a windshield wiper de-icer, power-folding side mirrors with puddle lights, front seats with
power side bolsters and thigh extensions, and a 10.5-inch head-up display.
Advanced Safety Technologies
The 2024 Acura TLX comes standard with AcuraWatch, a cutting-edge safety suite bundling forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams. The Type S gets a couple more features: a surround-view monitor and head-up warning.
Multimedia and Connectivity
The default infotainment system in the ’24 TLX – which consists of a 12.3-inch dual-content center display controlled by an intuitive touchpad interface – is well equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, integrated 3D navigation, voice recognition, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. While the Technology receives an already stellar 13-speaker ELS Studio sound system, the A-Spec and Type S step up the audio experience with a 17-speaker ELS Studio 3D setup. All trims have access to AcuraLink Connected Services.
